Dathlu Deg  / New CD Piantel

A New To celebrate 10 years of performing, for release November/December 2016

During September 2016 Piantel returned to SAIN recording studio in Caernarfon to finalise and record 4 new tracks for the new CD.  This CD will be a compilation of all their albums, 3 tracks from the first CD “Piantel”, 3 from the second “Or Galon” and 3 from the third album “Un Enaid” all chosen by Annette and Dylan.  One of the new tracks will be the lovely song by Rhys Jones “Cilfan y Coed” especially arranged by Piantel.  We hope you enjoy this.

Return Visit to Criccieth

Sunday afternoon 25th September 2016 i returned to the Memorial Hall Criccieth for an afternoon recital.  There was a full audience and i performed music from the shows, some Classical and some light welsh music.  Its always lovely to return to a venue like this, and nothing better than tea and cake to finish off the afternoon.

Thank you to Bronwen Naish and her committee for the lovely welcome.

Criccieth Sept 2016

Braf iawn oedd cael dychwelyd i Criccieth ar Fedi 25ain, a chael perfformiad yn y Neuadd hardd.  Roedd cynulleifa dda wedi dod allan i wrando, ac gyda gymysgedd o ddarnau or sioeau, traddodiadol a pethau gyda ychydig bach fwy o fynd, mi aeth yr amser yn sydyn iawn.

Diolch ir pwyllgor am y gwahoddiad unwaith eto (ar baned a chacen diwedd prynhawn)

Gwyl Ger y Mor, Rhyl August 2014

Gwyl Ger y Mor, on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August it was time for the Welsh Audience!  There was a bit of rain in the air, but this didnt stop the audience from flowing into Rhyl for another Good day of welsh music.

It started off with Meinir Gwilym then we had Swnami, Gildas, Piantel, Y Moniars, Gwibdaith Hen Frân and then Bryn Fôn to finish off the day.

This was the brainstrom of Julie Howatson Broster, friends and Denbighshire County Council.  Lets hope that this carries on next year.

After a few weeks off Piantel started off the new season with two performances at Rhyl.  The first of the two were at Proms on the Prom, Rhyl.  This was organised by Denbighshire County Council and Rhyl Pavilion.  On Sunday 24th August 2014 we headed off for “Sunny Rhyl” and Sunny it was.

The audience were already in full swing after the Jazz Band started off the afternoon.  Piantel were on second, we did 40 min slot of some light music / jazz / and traditional music.

It all went well, the audience wanted more, we enjoyed every second of it.  On after us was the Lovely Sioned Terry, then Rhys Meirion.  We did get a chance to say hello to some other people there as well as Richard and Adam the Britain’s Got Talent Finalists who asked our availability to accompany them for Granada!.

proms-on-the-proms-02-72312To finish off the day’s event was Collabro, these again from the Show Britain’s Got Talent.  This was a brilliant afternoon in Rhyl, lets hope they carry on the tradition.
